Join us for a creative evening as local professional artist Susan Hourihan leads you in creating a beautiful seaside landscape watercolor painting featuring the Saybrook Point Lighthouse. This event will directly benefit the Katharine Hepburn Museum museum, where we are currently displaying some of Miss Hepburn’s own paintings. Participate in one of Kate’s favorite hobbies and spend a fun evening out with friends new and old. Materials and one drink token included in the price of admission. Seats: 20 Schedule 6:00 - Doors open; museum and bar will be available. 7:00 - Painting begins in the theater! 9:00 - Head home with your beautiful new work of art! About the Artist Susan Hourihan has been an art teacher for 22 years, and artist her whole life. She has taught at Westbrook High School for the past 10 years. She is versed in many art media, with a focus on photography, landscape painting in both acrylic and watercolor paints. She has taught therapeutic art methods preK-12, as well as weekend classes for adults. Most recently, she has held soapstone rock carving classes at the Marlborough Arts Center and private watercolor retreats at various local beach locations. Susan is a mother to two high school children and two happy Basset Hounds.
