Design Assistant Duties
The most important characteristics that will make a successful showroom assistant are organizational skills and an ability to work well as part of a team. In this role, you will work directly with clients and trade professionals, building trusted relationships.
Showroom Management
Keep our showroom tidy with organized sample sets and marketing materials.
Ensure we have full sets of company literature, both hard copy and electronic, to distribute to clients.
Check voicemail and website for incoming messages. Respond or pass along to Mike or Liz.
Enter new client inquiries into our CRM and order tracking sheets.
Field walk-in, phone and email inquiries. Ask questions and explain our process.
Organize project photos.
Get the showroom ready for client meetings.
Outbound Marketing
Research industry partners, such as local contractors, interior designers, and architects. Introduce them to MJ Martin Design.
Keep track of new home sales in the area.
Be comfortable contacting partners and discussing our brand and our process.
Create social media schedule, posts and monthly newsletter.
Learn new outbound marketing systems, such as writing a flip book.
Qualifications
Comfortable speaking with clients and engaging with new people.
Ability to prioritize and see projects through to completion.
Professional and responsible manner to build relationships.
Ability to work some Saturdays.
