First Church of Christ in Saybrook (UCC) is seeking a personable and organized Office Administrator to join our team. Key Responsibilities
· Warmly greet and assist church members and visitors.
· Provide administrative support to the Pastor, staff, and church teams.
· Serve as the first point of contact and direct inquiries appropriately.
· Manage phone calls, mail, office supplies, and bulk mailings.
· Prepare weekly bulletins, worship slides, e-newsletters, and annual reports.
· Maintain church database, directory, and financial pledges.
· Support church events including services, weddings, funerals, and festivities.
· Update website and church calendar.
· Coordinate policies and procedures for church services and rentals.
· Communicate with external organizations using church space.
· Open/close the church during office hours and report building issues.
· Attend meetings and perform additional duties as requested.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or five years equivalent experience.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database systems.
· Experience with financial record-keeping and invoicing.
· Detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities.
· Familiarity with Google Workspace, CRM platforms, and website management.
· Strong interpersonal skills and experience with volunteer coordination.
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Compensation & Schedule
• Pay: $25.00 per hour
• Job Type: Part-time (24 hours/week, flexible 3-4 days/week)
