A local Clinton resident has been sharing the stories and people of Connecticut for over two decades

A local Clinton resident has been sharing the stories and people of Connecticut for over two decades. Pete Mezzetti is the host and producer of the Pete Mezzetti Show. In the beginning years, Pete was filming out of the Comcast cable franchise in Clinton. The opportunity became available when Pete met the Public Access Coordinator, who mentioned that the town of Clinton did not have a public affairs show. He brought the idea to former First Selectman Willie Fritz, who responded with, "Congratulations, it's yours," and so began the Pete Mezzetti Show.

The Comcast public access station closed between 2012-13. Former broadcast television educator Chuck Lewis took over the PEG (Public, Education, and Government) station and moved the studio to the Shops at Water's Edge in Westbrook in 2013, and thus became Valley Shore Community Television. VSCTV is a non-profit organization that services the towns of Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Durham, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook. Once the studio was in operation, Pete became one of the first volunteers to produce a show.

The Pete Mezzetti Show has been producing content with VSCTV for over ten years. Pete has produced over 600 episodes with guests like State Representative Joe Courtney and Chris Aniskovich, Old Saybrook First Selectman Carl Fortuna, River Valley Transit, CAS CIAC, Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Revenue Services Mark Boughton, and so many more.

The Pete Mezzetti Show airs on Comcast Channel 19 every Tuesday at 7 p.m. You can also catch the show online at www.vsctv.com > Video-on-Demand > Pete Mezzetti Show. For additional information, please visit Pete's personal website: www.petemezzetti.com
