Saybrook Point Resort & Marina is pleased to share that our Managing Partner, Stephen Tagliatela, and our General Manager, Chris Bird, recently joined CBIA BizCast for an in-depth conversation about the resort’s commitment to Connecticut, sustainable practices, and new luxury offerings.
In the interview, Tagliatela highlighted Saybrook Point’s strong connection to Old Saybrook and the importance of open doors to the community. “We’re all in on Connecticut,” he stated, describing the resort’s role as an accessible, community-centered destination.
As Connecticut’s first certified clean marina and green hotel, Saybrook Point has long been a leader in sustainable hospitality, investing in practices like solar power, energy co-generation, and wastewater treatment. “It makes economic sense to be green,” Tagliatela noted. “You just have to have a longer view.”
Bird also emphasized Saybrook Point’s values-driven approach to hospitality, focusing on building a team that embodies guest-centered service. “We hire for personality and train for skill,” he said, underscoring the resort’s dedication to providing an exceptional guest experience.
Looking forward, the resort has exciting new plans, including the introduction of a personalized butler service to enhance its luxury offerings. “We’re seeing more guests seek curated, high-touch experiences, and this is an area we’re excited to expand,” said Bird.
